Some years ago Mr Toraba, Fudo and the famous japanese armour-god historian "Jock" A P Hopson documented the very best of the Watanabe Collection in Tottori Japan.
Emmmm we got lot's of photo's of some splendid Katchu. But due to me and old Trev working our nuts off the images have never seen the light of day.
Is it worth pushing us to finish this project off and go to print? If you think it is then say so, and a book could be produced later this year.
I'm up for it from September onwards....and you Trev?
There were plenty of back breaking armours to lug upstairs on my own
Yep, displayed in bright sunshine! And who's that in the back room having afternoon tea again?
Some cracking Kabuto to be found, and some real shite fakes to break to bad news about
Me before the grey hair attack. I loved this screen so much I wrote my name on the back in marker pen.
These armours were all mixed up in the bitsu's, it took me and Trev a week to sort em out
Would you miss one?...or three? UPS at the back door again.
Trev views internet cowboy porn (UPS online collection service) while Jock plans his lunch, dinner
and bedtime snacks.
Ok, Fudo -san, that's not fair. Is like having Bar Refaeli taking her top off and then ask if you want to see the rest! Of course I want to see it all : the good, the bad and the ugly of the collection. First in list to buy the book.

Ah well, a collection of pics will be nice to view. Any good places to see katchu, going to Tokyo and Kyoto for a kendo tour in Aug.
I've not been for at least 5 yrs, no idea really. If you can track down the dealer Kinokunia he has lots of stock, I know he moved from the old place in Tokyo. Just been outa the loop for too long.
Hi, I would be interested off course! (I'm probably one of the few people who have actually seen some pages of the books Trevor is working on, many years ago, still in draft. So that's why I'm patient as I know it will be worth it....)
All I can say is my books are going to blow people away. There is nothing out there like what I am doing. There are going to be several released in short order of each other once I wrap them up. Problem is new projects keep coming up, films mostly. I enjoy doing it. But as this recent projects wraps up I do not want to take any new ones on for a while so I can finish existing work. I won't give deadlines though as I can't hold to them. I ahve hired worl-class artisits to work on some things, and have them packed with images and in depth text. They will not just be pictures books that can make even a crap composite look like something great but give no real facts or details.
Dave just noticed this post and your idea to push for completion later this year. Yes, we should wrap this one up. I need to be more focused on these things and less of the outside interests. let's chat.
"Me before the grey hair attack. I loved this screen so much I wrote my name on the back in marker pen." Hahaha, thanks for the laugh Fudo. This just made my day.
Other than that, stunning collection. Wow! I think I just would have died right away when stepping into this room and seeing these armors.
Yes please, go for these books, I'd be greatly interested as well. :)

70% of those armours were in bitsu, stored away. They were all mixed up too. We spent hours putting them together for display, then at the end we left them to be broken down and mixed up again?
